We are members of ALOA - the Associated Locksmiths of America - and we want to be honest about what that means, because a lot of companies just slap logos on their website.

ALOA membership requires a documented background investigation. Every member commits to a published code of ethics that covers how you treat customers, how you price jobs, and how you handle disputes. Members are listed in a public directory you can check yourself at aloa.org. If a complaint is filed against an ALOA member, the organization has a formal review process. This is meaningful accountability - not just a badge.

For customers, the practical value is simple: when you hire an ALOA-certified locksmith, you have recourse. You have an organization with a published ethics standard you can point to. That does not exist when you call an unlicensed operator with a Google Business page and a rented phone number.

Every technician on our team is individually ALOA-affiliated and holds a current continuing education record. This is not just a company-level membership - it is a per-technician commitment.

New York DCA Licensing - Why You Should Always Ask

New York City requires every working locksmith to hold a license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs. Getting that license requires submitting fingerprints, passing a criminal background check, proving identity, and carrying liability insurance. It is not a rubber stamp - and it is the law.

Despite this, a significant number of operators in this city are working without one. You can verify any DCA locksmith license at nyc.gov/dca. We encourage every customer to do this before letting anyone into their home or office - including us. Our technicians will show their DCA license card before touching anything. If they ever forget, ask them for it.

We do not rush technicians through an orientation and hand them a van. Every person we put in the field has been through a background investigation, holds a valid DCA license, is an ALOA affiliate, and has completed factory training on the specific hardware brands we carry.
